“Republic Developments has applied to the City of Toronto for the rezoning of an assembly of properties just west of Downtown at the intersection of Adelaide Street West and Strachan Avenue. What is proposed for the site at 111 Strachan Avenue, is a mixed-use building comprised of 314 residential units, and 339m² of commercial retail space. Designed by IBI Group, the building would range from 2 to 14-storeys high, terracing down to to the north to transition to neighbouring lower-rise residential buildings from the abutting ‘Avenues’ buildings on King Street to the south. The proposal incorporates an older 3-storey building that is located on the northwest corner of the site, which is in commercial use has deemed important to the local community.” Read More
